Abstract. The fictitious domain methods initially designed for the fluid-structure
interaction, consist in immersing the real domain in a simply-shaped and a
geometrically bigger domain called the fictitious domain.
We apply these methods to a unilateral frictionless contact problem in
small deformation of two deformable elastics bodies separated by an
initial gap and satisfying boundary Dirichlet and Neumann conditions.
In this talk, I will present some theoretical results validated by
numerical experiments. Especially, I will give an optimal a priori error
estimate obtained using a stabilized fictitious domain method and a
residual-based a posteriori error estimator.
