Some application of focal loci

Abstract. I will talk about some application of the focal loci techniques in some "concrete" algebraic geometry settings. In particular I will describe the work in collaboration with A. Cuzzucoli and M. Serizawa about non uniform monodromy of surfaces in P^3.
