Abstract. The Albanese morphism is the most important tool for the study of the irregular algebraic surfaces. Quotients of product of two curves by the action of a finite group G have been extensively used in the last years to produce simple examples of interesting algebraic surfaces answering some important questions in algebraic geometry, but their Albanese morphism has not been systematically studied yet. I will give a complete description of the Albanese morphism of such a quotient in terms of the algebraic properties of the group G in the mixed case, where some elements of the group exchange the two curves. I will also discuss some applications.
